The 1811 founded Salzburger Landes-Versicherung AG, a 100% subsidiary of the UNIQA Versicherungen AG, counts to Austria’s small insurance companies. Since 1975, the UNIQA Austria, respectively its precursor companies, had a controlling shareholding. The strength of the Salzburger Landes-Versicherung is its regionality and the resulting proximity to the customer. A sign of these strong regional ties is, not least, the dense branch network in Salzburg and neighbouring Upper Austria. Salzburger Landes-Versicherung, Austria’s oldest fire insurer is a composite insurer, however consciously focuses on the property and casualty insurance lines.
