Salzburger Landes-Versicherung, a full-owned subsidiary of UNIQA Versicherungen AG, was founded in 1811 and is one of the small insurance companies of Austria. UNIQA Group Austria and/or its predecessor companies have owned the majority of its shares since 1975. The strength of Salzburger Landes-Versicherung lies in its regionality and the resulting proximity to the customer. Last but not least, the dense network of its branches in Salzburg is a sign of its strong regional ties. Salzburger Landes-Versicherung, the oldest fire insurer in Austria, is an all lines insurer, but deliberately places its business focus on damage and accident insurance.
