The decision to sell the 50% holdings of UNIQA Versicherungen AG in BV-ARAG Allgemeine Rechtsschutz-Versicherungs-AG to ARAG Germany concludes the restructuring of this sector within UNIQA Group Austria.

The decision was preceded by intensive negotiations with ARAG Germany.

In connection with the close links between Bundesländer-Versicherung and Austria-Collegialität and the last years establishment of UNIQA, one goal was to restructure the legal expenses insurance within the group. After terminating the organisational agreement with BV-ARAG last year and since UNIQA has for some time been focusing exclusively on its own legal expenses insurance, the sale of the holdings was the logical step to take.

BV-ARAG
BV-ARAG took up operation in 1977. This company, exclusively active in the field of legal aid, was founded by the former Bundesländer-Versicherung and ARAG Germany.
