The Supervisory Board of UNIQA Versicherungen AG decided in its meeting today (23.11.2010) to expand the Management Board of UNIQA Versicherungen AG to include Hartwig Löger, Wolfgang Kindl and Kurt Svoboda as of 1 July 2011.

As of 1 July 2011, the date on which the chairmanship of the Board is handed over from Konstantin Klien to Andreas Brandstetter, the Management Board team at UNIQA Versicherungen AG will receive three more experienced insurance experts in addition to previous members, Andreas Brandstetter, Hannes Bogner, Karl Unger and Gottfried Wanitschek.

Hartwig Löger will assume overall responsibility for the Group’s operational insurance companies in Austria at the holding level (with the exception of Raiffeisen Versicherung). Responsibility for bank sales in Austria, especially for Raiffeisen Versicherung, will remain with Andreas Brandstetter as before. Wolfgang Kindl will be responsible for the corporate group’s international business. Kurt Svoboda will take over the agendas for risk management and reinsurance. All Management Board members – including the new ones – are appointed until 30 September 2013.

All three new Board members are experienced insurance experts and have many years of successful experience in responsible management functions at UNIQA Group Austria.

Hartwig Löger, born in 1965 in Styria, has been responsible for Exclusive Sales at UNIQA Group Austria since 2005.

Wolfgang Kindl, born in 1966 in Vienna, has been managing director of UNIQA International Versicherungs-Holding GmbH since 2005 and was responsible in this capacity for Group companies in the Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria, among others.

Kurt Svoboda, born in 1967 in Lower Austria, has been managing director of UNIQA Finanz-Service GmbH since 2003 and was responsible for Group planning, controlling and financial strategy.
