Press Conference on UNIQA Group Result UNIQA expands its organisational structure The UNIQA group’s customer-oriented strategy is also going to be reflected to a greater extent in its organisational structure in the future – through its stepwise introduction of responsibility throughout the group for “private customers and small and medium-sized businesses”, as well as for “corporate clients and industry”. The UNIQA group is complementing its previous business-sector-oriented organisational form with a segmented solution that is geared to the various customer groups and which will combine hitherto separate functions for home and abroad.UNIQA CEO Konstantin Klien: “In order to produce even more consistent management of our group between the Baltic and the Adriatic, we are now going to combine the competencies and responsibilities for the target groups, “private customers and SMB” and “corporate clients and industry” step by step for the whole group in two areas of competence. The goal of this splitting up is to produce greater awareness of the corporate concept and the customer perspective which goes beyond the various sectors and companies. Simultaneously, we are thus tightening up our decision-making processes, and our strategic orientation towards clients and markets is reflected in our internal structure as well. Following the enormous growth spurt that the UNIQA group has experienced since it was founded in 1999, this step is a logical consequence on the path towards optimisation of the management of the main corporate tasks at home and abroad for the challenges of the future.” Structural changes Staff changes - Johannes Hajek (49) is going to manage the area, “corporate clients and industrial business“ throughout the group. - Exclusive sales, broker sales and company sales policy are to be combined in Konstantin Klien’s field of responsibility as from 1.7.2004. - Helmut Posch (47), previously responsible for UNIQA exclusive sales in Austria, will be taking on an executive board position in international sales as from 1.7.2004. The aim of this structural change is to achieve clear differentiation between the management tasks and competences throughout the group in the regions that have been supported. This addition of a new, specifically customer-focused perspective to the previously business-sector-oriented will continue to help improve the UNIQA group’s market chances both at home and abroad. 5.
