Krbavac started her career as financial inspector at the SDK (Public Accounting Services) in 1990 after studying economics at the Zagreb School of Economics. She held an executive position at the Trgovacka Bank from 1993 to 2000. In September 2000 she moved to the Erste & Steiermärkische Bank d.d., where she was responsible for sales, sales support and management of alternative sales channels.

Saša Krbavac was born in Zagreb in 1967 and has a 7-year-old daughter. Krbavac on her new assignment: “I’m looking forward to new challenges and possibilities in a successful company with a highly motivated team.”

UNIQA osiguranje.d.d, Croatiawas founded in 1999, with its head office in Zagreb. 80% of its shares are held by the UNIQA Group, the remaining 20% by the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development). A staff of 145 is  employed in head office and the company’s seven branches.  The EUR 7.6 million in premiums received from the life and non-life sectors in 2003 is 36% more than the amount  from the previous year. UNIQA is thus one of the most dynamic insurance companies in Croatia.
