As General Manager of UNIQA osiguranje d.d. from 1999 on, Vukadin made a substantial contribution to setting up the company, devoting his efforts intensively and highly efficiently to company sales, as well as to other areas. Under his leadership, UNIQA Croatia developed into one of the most rapidly growing companies in the whole insurance market there in recent years.

Vukadin will now be putting his experience at the disposal of UHRS GmbH in his position as the company’s third manager alongside Peter Kuleff and Helmut Raunig. One of the essential tasks of UHRS is to optimise Human Resources management on the basis of a profit centre – as a competence team for both home and abroad. Most of all, Vukadin will be contributing his know-how regarding the setting up of sales structures, as well as his international experience.

Gerald Müller (37) is a Management graduate from the Vienna School of Economics and has a Master’s degree in Finance from the Danube University in Krems, Austria. Müller joined the Bundesländerversicherung AG in 1995 and has gained a wide variety of experience setting up and supporting insurance company subsidiaries in the CEE and SEE areas in his job at UNIQA International Versicherungs-Holding GmbH since October 1997. Müller is married and has a daughter. Sport – especially tennis – and travelling are among his hobbies.

Müller: “While I was still Area Manager for Croatia, I was very involved with the Croatian insurance market and its local peculiarities and developments. I also played a substantial role in founding UNIQA osiguranje d.d. and that’s why I’m particularly pleased about my new task and the opportunity of running such a successful company with a highly motivated team.”

The company was founded in 1999 with its head office in Zagreb. UNIQA holds 80% of the shares and the EBRD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, 20%. A total of approximately 145 staff are employed in head office and seven branches. According to preliminary figures, the 1,240 agents working with these staff-members succeeded in earning € 7.6 million from the Life and Non-Life sectors in 2003. This means an increase of more than 36% over the previous year and makes UNIQA again one of the most dynamic companies in the Croatian market.
