UNIQA: Restructuring of international sales and marketing

Uniform sales and marketing policy at home and abroad

Through its standardised sales and marketing strategy at home and abroad, UNIQA is aiming at a uniform sales and marketing policy throughout the group. Specific decisions in particular countries are still taken by the local management, with the autonomy of the individual regions remaining intact. The Europe-wide control of the sales and marketing agendas takes place, however, centrally via Hartwig Löger, Franz Stiglitz and Josef Jarausch. Hartwig Löger is in charge of exclusive sales and marketing, Franz Stiglitz is taking over responsibility for broker sales and marketing and Josef Jarausch has taken over sales and marketing controlling.

The objectives of the new functions are the coordination of the UNIQA Group’s operations on the market, uniform reactions to changes in laws and in society within the EU, as well as the simplification of internal control mechanisms and processes.

The high degree of service at all the UNIQA  branch offices will thus be guaranteed at short notice for the group’s sales and marketing partners. The latter will be supported optimally in cross-border business and will be offered the chance to confer with their business associates onsite at their branches.

Hartwig Löger
Löger worked in customer service from 1985 to 1989 and later in various top sales functions, all in the insurance field. In 2002 he joined the UNIQA Group Austria as manager of UNIQA International. At present he is in charge of exclusive sales and marketing for the whole company.

Löger was born in 1965 in  Selzthal in Styria, is married and has two children. Besides his family, his hobbies include tennis, skiing, travelling and music.

Franz Stiglitz
Stiglitz worked in UNIQA’s predecessors from 1989 on.In 1993 he was appointed head of broker sales and marketing for the whole of Austria. Currently, he heads broker sales and marketing for the UNIQA Group.

Franz Stiglitz was born in 1959, is married and has three children. His hobbies include walking, reading, travelling and culture.

Josef Jarausch
Jarausch  began his career back in 1967 at the Bundesländer Insurance Co., as it was known at that time, and moved to central sales and marketing in 1972. His tasks included the development of concepts for and installation of a broker accounting system and the conversion of synthetic sales and marketing reference numbers to modern controlling instruments, as well as the coordination and total responsibility for medium and long-term sales and marketing planning and market research.

Jarausch was born in 1952, is married and counts golf, the outdoors, travelling and culture among his hobbies.
