According to Chair of the Management Board Sasa Krbavac, “2007 was a particularly successful year for UNIQA in Croatia as well, thanks to the intensive expansion of our sales channels, the excellent cooperation with Raiffeisenbank as well as the insurance brokers and agencies. An additional advance in growth resulted in the introduction of new products in the areas of credit hedging and health insurance. We are looking to confirm the positive results of last year and to further increase our market share in 2008.”

UNIQA Croatia achieved its biggest premium growth in the area of non-life business, with a rise of 32% to HRK 63 million (EUR 8.6 million).Premiums written in life insurance rose by 22% to HRK 75 million (EUR 10.2 million).The company therefore clearly outperformed market growth (non-life: 9.4% / life: 13.6%) in both areas.The number of contracts managed by UNIQA osiguranje d.d. rose by 19% in 2007 to over 75,000 policies.
