The Bosnian subsidiary UNIQA Osiguranje d.d. succeeded in increasing the premium volume accounted by 24.8% to €17 million (33.2 Mio. BAM) according to preliminary data 2008. This puts the growth of this company, which has been part of UNIQA Group since 2005, at over twice the market average of 12.9%. With this exceptional premium growth, the market share increased to roughly 10%, making UNIQA number 4 (2007 still number 6) among the 15 insurance companies currently operating in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the non-life segment, UNIQA achieved a premium volume of EUR 11.0 million (21.5 Mio. BAM) in Bosnia in 2008, 19.2% (market: +11.7%) more than in the previous year. The area of life insurance exhibited even stronger growth with an increase of 36.3% (market: +19.1%) to EUR 6.0 million (11.8 Mio. BAM). With a market share of 20%, UNIQA Osiguranje is currently the third-largest life insurance company in Bosnia.
