With the gross written premium of around EUR 31 million, UNIQA has gained around 1% of market share during the year 2008, to around 5% of the market share. Highest growth has been achieved in auto and property insurance. With EUR 23,3 million the premium income in 2008 nearly doubled in comparison to the previous year.

The Chairman of the Management Board at UNIQA osiguranje, Zoran Visnjic, comments on the 2008 results: “For the second year in a row, UNIQA osiguranje has achieved over 50% premium growth and the highest growth rate on the Serbian insurance market. This represents a significant achievement of our team and another proof that we have the right strategy for the market. Also, with the additional capitalization of both UNIQA life and non-life companies in Serbia at the end of 2008, UNIQA group has supported the tremendous growth of the company and set up the basis for further development".

Some of the major activities planned for 2009 are continued development of the preferred partnership with Raiffeisen Bank and further modernization and optimization of business operations.
