In life insurance, the premium revenue exhibited strong growth: contrary to the market (-4.0%), the premium revenues grew by 7.9% to roughly EUR 28.1 million. The life insurance premiums make up 27.1% of the total premium volume. UNIQA was able to improve its Slovakian market share in life insurance (single premium and recurring premiums) by 0.29% to achieve 2.65%, whereby the market share in life insurance policies with recurring premiums is currently already at 3.2%.

In the area of non-life insurance, the premium revenues saw an increase of 6.4% to roughly EUR 75.7 million. The overall Slovakian insurance industry exhibited a decline of 4.5% in this area. In total, UNIQA achieved a market share of 7.9% in non-life insurance, strengthening its position in fourth place among the top 15 insurance companies in Slovakia.

In Slovakia, UNIQA employs a staff of 294 salaried employees, has 882 brokers who are active for UNIQA, serves roughly 371,000 customers with 520,000 contracts and, in addition to the headquarters in Bratislava, maintains over 39 branches plus another 71 insurance agencies throughout the country.
