UNIQA Osiguranje in Bosnia and Herzegovina succeeded in increasing its premium volume in the first nine months of the current year to € 15.2 million (BAM 29.7 million). With a growth of 14%, this means they outdid the market’s development (+2.5%) by more than five times. This puts UNIQA in fourth place among 25 insurers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

UNIQA was able to generate the strongest growth stimuli in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the life insurance segment. The increase in life insurance premiums was 20%, compared to a market average of 6%. With a premium volume of more than € 6 million, (BAM 12 million) and a market share of 23.7%, UNIQA is thus already the number 3 in life insurance. Thanks to the continuing good growth, there is a very good chance that UNIQA Osiguranje can improve this standing to 2nd place by year-end.

In the non-life segment growth in the company, which has been part of the UNIQA Group since 2005, in the first three quarters was at almost 11% (market growth was 1.7%). The company increased its market share in this segment to 8% with a premium volume of € 9 million (BAM 17.7 million) and thus moved up to 7th place.

We see this result as a clear confirmation of our strategy of qualitative high level products and good consulting – but we don’t want to just rest on our laurels. We have also set ourselves new and ambitious targets for the future. By continuing to dynamically expand our distribution network we also want to continue to grow noticeably faster than the market. The trust that over 65,000 customers in Bosnia and Herzegovina already place in UNIQA forms a foundation for this.”

UNIQA Osiguranje d. d. Sarajevo was founded in 1997 and has been a member of the UNIQA Group Austria since 2005. In addition to the two regional administrative offices in Sarajevo and Tuzla, the company is represented by more than 40 branches in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
