The formerly listed preference shares of Bundesländer-Versicherung on the Vienna Stock Exchange and the participation certificates swapped in the meantime have been converted to UNIQA ordinary shares following shareholder meetings.

UNIQA ordinary shares have a special significance, since this unified category of ordinary shares replaces three parallel categories of Bundesländer securities(ordinary shares, preference shares and participation certificates). Participation certificates not yet swapped will continue to be listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange

In 2000 it is planned to extend the stock exchange listing to the entire share capital of the Group. As already announced in the Wiener Zeitung, trading in Bundesländer and UNIQA was suspended for technical reasons from 3^rd  to 5^th November inclusive. Unconcluded trades became invalid at the end of 2^nd November.
